I know most women are very excited to take a pregnancy test right away. However, I think it is best to wait a day after your missed period. It maybe easier said than done. Waiting can save money as well as give you the answer you want.

I took 2 pregnancy tests (Answer & clearblue easy) a full 7 days before my period was due and both were positive and yes i was pregnant.

You can take an at home test 19 days after the day you think you became pregnant.
Use first morning urine as it contains the highest levels of the pregnancy hormone hcg.
It doesn't matter what test you buy, they are all the same- the only difference in them are the prices.

Go to http://www.peeonastick.com and there it will answer all your pregnancy test questions.

Good luck

Generally, after you have missed your period, but the newer pregnancy tests can detect pregnancy up to 4 days before your period is due. One word of caution, I have gotten negatives when testing 4, 3, and 2 days before, but then it was positive the day my period was due. So you may have to buy a few pregnancy tests. It all depends on your HcG levels.

It's best to wait until the first day of your missed period. Every day after that is also good because the longer you wait, the more HCG you have in your system.

Some tests say you can take them as early as 5 days before your period, but if you read the fine print, you will see that their accuracy rate is not high.

If you want to take the test on the first day of your missed period, or earlier, I'd suggest that you use the first urine of the day, as it will have the highest HCG concentration.

The day doesn't matter as long as you have missed your period. You should always use the first urine of the day, so it isn't all watered down.
