Hallowe'en is becoming quite a big thing in England now - we're copying our American cousins!!
Traditional dressing up for halloween usually means either as a witch, black cat, ghoul, or some other scary thing. I've seen people just wear any old fancy dress clothes, but that's not really in the spirit of Halloween. A witch is always acceptable and easy to do - just make/buy a pointy hat and wear a black coat or wrap a black sheet around you. Plenty of dark make-up too!!
If you're going to be outside, wear something warm underneath!
If the party is at a friends house, join in the fun and get dressed up! I'm sure they'd appreciate any extra fireworks, but it wouldn't hurt to ask them if they're needed. The same would apply to food.
Have a great time.

On both occasions wear warm clothes, be prepared to be given half-cooked food if they have a BBQ, and on Guy Fawkes night be prepared to get burnt by stray fireworks, get smoke in your eyes and wake up the next morning with a sore chest from all the burnt chemicals floating around in the air.
Apart from that and scaring all the local pets, wildlife and elderly people half to death, I'm sure you'll all have a wonderful time.

BOO!!! You MUST wear fancy dress, there will be spooky music and BOB FOR THE APPLES and you should expect loud noise and everyone will try to SCARE you, as for Guy Fawkes there should be loads of FIREWORKS and SPARKLERS, which are wicked for writting in the dark with, you are bound to have major fun with a bad throat in the morning from screaming all night. Let the night ROCK, Or SPOOK the hell out of you. LOL Hayley-May

put something warm on as most of it will be outdoors with food and plenty of drinking. expect a lot of fire works;crackers and of course a bondfire. the person who invites you should provide everything but it is custums tto bring what you like to drink to share also. no need to dress up
