I really want him to say,I really like him alot,,Listen he gave up his short stop possion to play in ny,But he is taking a wicked beating
and i really am getting sick and tired of him getting the blame for
every post season failure,What about Randy Johnson? Mike Mussina? The money there getting paid and Mussian can't even hold on to a lead? What about Jason Giambi, what has he done!!
Sheffield,Matuzzi,What did Damon Do? 1 home run BIG DEAL.It pains me to say this, but now i really think if AROD leaves NY he'll do better,,I feel his career is going down the toilet in Ny.There is just TOO much preasure on him in Ny.And i think what Joe Torre did to him,Batting him 8th in the line up was a real SLAP IN THE FACE!! Once agian i say it was 28 players in the post season that STUNK,,AGAIN,,,, NOT JUST AROD!

* I am a fan of the game. If a trade is 'officially' in the works, it's under the table.
Any Yankee fan that is truly knowledgeable about the game certainly would not want to see A-Rod go anywhere.
Despite the fact that A-Rod proclaimed that he still wants to be a Yankee, I am wondering if his words weren't simply 'bureaucratic for the moment'. He has to be entertaining thoughts of moving on to a franchise where he can go out a play everyday and not be bombarded by the press and booed by the fans.
Although Alex may have better odds of getting the ring in NY, trading him to a team that is just an A-Rod away from the ring could be something he might have to consider. Watching A-Rod play on a team where he is appreciated by his peers and fans would undoubtedly provoke performances we all know he is capable of. Is it possible A-Rod's thinking the same thing?

Too many superstars on the team. I am a Yankee fan but I find Alex to not be getting along with the team. He would definitely be like a Puljous if he was on another team. I say trade him; get a young third baseman, a couple of powerful relievers and maybe a so-so starter. The Yanks are getting a little up there in age so it helps if they start looking toward younger, hotter prospects like a Cano or a Wang.

Yo Fabio, don't worry. It's only rumors. It's another one of those media conspiracies. I heard the interview on ESPN with Lou Pinella and he said it wasn't true. Of course he had to say that because any player under contract cannot be approached by another team.
My thought is that A-Rod will stay only because if he leaves he will be admitting that he can't take the New York pressure. I don't think that is how he wants to be remembered in the Big Apple. I've said it before and I'll say it again, all the Yankees need is a couple of good starting pitchers and they will dominate baseball for the next five years.

I am not a Yankee or a Cub fan, but here is my take on the prospective of A-Rod getting out of New York:
A-Rod should get away of the Yankees. The faster the better. He needs to swallow his pride and accept that he can't hack it in New York. However, I don't see what the Cubs can offer the Yankees in return that would land A-Rod in Chicago. Porsepcts? George wants someone who can help them now. The Yankees want pitching. Pitching the Cubs don't have to spare unless they want to finish off their rotation by giving up Carlos Zambrano.

Unfortunatley Alex Rodriguez is not yankee material.. look at Esteban Loiza, an ex yankee... He wasn't very good when he played for the yankees and even Javier Vazquez he choked every time, they ended up both in Chicago and ended up what? winning the World Series, that's what. I guess you just have to that certain "umph" to be in a Yanks uniform.. Alex doesn't have it here in New York, he should go to another team just so he can bring out the good player he is.. Because ARod is a great player, he should go somewhere where he can show people that... cuz he ain't doing much in New York.

I want to see him go...b/c im not a Yankee fan but I am a fan of ARod. I hate the Cubs worse than the Yanks but I do not believe there is a chance in hell that the Cubs will give up Zambrano (nor should they) for him. If he goes to any team in Chicago he could go to the White Sox. I would love to see him go to a city that appreciates what he does for them and see him be the SS again. Plus the White Sox SS Uribe may be facing some prison time for murder or accessory to murder or whatever it is...if convicted obviously.
ARod is the best player of our era by far. Defensively he is amazing (horrible this year tho), he freaking switched from his best position and still won a gold glove at a very new position. His hitting is extremely consistent. He will prob. break the HR record regardless of what Bonds does. I mean he hit like .290 with 35 HR's and 120+ RBI's and fans boo him? LoL jackass Yankee fans for ya. I'd love to see him go somewhere where ppl recognize his talent. He's the best all around player I have ever seen play.....

That's a loaded question. His rbi's don't mean a lot to a lot of Yankee fans when he can't produce in the post season. He still thinks its all about his numbers. It's not a one man sport, it's a team thing, and until he can come together and realize his lone numbers make no difference to most of us and he needs to work on being one part of a bigger whole, he hasn't got a chance in New York and needs to be traded.

i'm not a yankee fan,but judging from the consensus i would say that more than half of all yankee fans would like to see a-rod go.though he is truly one of the best players to have ever played the game, his post season stats are not good.he seems to put a lot of pressure on himself.

Don't want him to and not ready to give up on him......the Yankees would be making a mistake......to me they have made two big mistakes in the past 30-40 years.....letting Reggie leave New York and now missing out on getting Piniella.....letting A-Rod go would be the third strike for an out (of their mind).
