My idea is that instead of a Big Bang, the universe began with a Little Poof. If I'm correct, the universe is actually just a small fart of the non-universe.
Here's the theory. The universe is merely what is, which is therefore measurable or finite. The non-universe is everything else that is not, never was and never will be.
The non-universe (that which is not) existed long before the universe and will be around long after. But it was inevitable that some day the existence of non-existence would come into existence. Sort of like a premature ejaculation into virgin possibility. Or a silent stinker into an empty church. The rest is history.

In my opinion............
Sense organs of the body , in contact with the world, triggers a thought,. e. g.. the eye sees a fruit in a tree.
Thought preceeds an action. In this case the thought of the fruit makes you to desire the fruit and take action to get it.
Logically action should take place. But, between the thought and the resultant action , the mind thinks of the way to take that action. There are many ways to do that action. In that split second the mind throws up a number of alternatives. These are called , IDEAS. While the action ( of getting the fruit, for example) is the same the ideas to get at the goal can be different for different people. You might have the idea to climb the tree to get the fruit. I might have an idea to "make" you climb the tree to get the fruit and share the same!

I like to say "I am of a different "opinion" but I have to believe that most if not all "thought" or ideas, are no longer "original"
I also assume that given the population of the planet that it's possible, even likely for two or more different people separated might have the same thought/idea at the same time.
One of the blessings of being a member of our species is the ability to have cognizant thought, and often we compare OURS to others, and perhaps modify one to the other as suits us.

Are you referring to two ideas on a similar theme or different idea on a similar topic?
For two completely different ideas such as "ducks swim in water" and "coffee tastes bitter" the differences are pretty clear. If you are referring to debate such as "coffee tastes nice" vs. "coffee tastes horrible" you need to explore why people have these different opinions and you may find the underlying reason for the difference.
You may need to clarify you question.

Difference of opinion makes different ideas. Aim is same but ideas to achieve the aim may differ.

OK here is an example of two ideas which are the same:
"Cheese is yellow"
and
"Cheese is yellow"
These two ideas are clearly the same, would you agree? Now, assume we are faced with these two ideas:
"Cheese is yellow"
"Dogs chase cats"
I don't think it takes a genius to realise these two ideas are different. Does this answer your question?

Take the key features of each idea and rate them. If they get the same rating they are the same idea. If not, they are different.

People can claim / say anything, but that doesn't make it true. Only close examination / scrutiny will reveal if they are the same or different.
The proof is in the pudding.
