Two parts to this question.
That yellow stuff that's in your eyes when you wake up every now and then. What is it, and how does it get there? I've heard it termed 'sleep'.
Secondly, what *is* sleep? As subconsciousness, I mean, and why do we need it?

We need sleep to keep our bodies in tune so that we can function.

I have a niece that used to sell rainbow vacuums and she told us that the crusty stuff in your eyes in the morning is Dust Mite poop!!!!!

I am being for real that's what the Rainbow makers claim. Its poop. Good Luck
