Firstly, I'm not gay.

That said, it bothers me how one only has so many pockets (even with cargo pants) whilst one has so much to carry. Things that won't fit in pockets but -will- fit in a handbag. The alternative is carrying around a backpack but that's unwieldy and cumbersome. Why isn't there some middle ground? And if there is, please, I beseech you, elucidate it.

Social stigma.

If you carried a handbag... people would mock you. Why? Because guys don't do it. Thats all there is to it.
Women had a reason for doing it and started doing it at some point, and apparently at the same time men did NOT do it... hence it became normal for women to do it and men not to. If a man were to have a handbag it would be considered abnormal.... and the general public avoid "abnormal" like the plague...

But then if you don't give a damn what other people think (as I don't) then you can carry around a handbag for all I care. I colour my lips in black with permanent marker, which is downright weird of me... and walk around in public in London (not just in Camden either) with it on... and I don't give a damn. Neither should you, in my opinion.

I incredibly have seen this ensue alot of situations in Singapore. i think of it is surely absurd! it is the lady's bag, she could desire to hold it. I incredibly have seen adult adult males donning it and the lady basically walks freely, no longer a single subject in her hangs or under the arm. it is candy to help a female to hold something even though it is going to stop at purses. If this takes place, then why won't adult adult males purchase purses for themselves to hold? it is to publicly demean the adult adult males. would not it look strange for a guy to hold a handbag? If he does this, i'm particular in his coronary heart he's against it. it is against a guy's character to be female till he's female or desires to be. Then why is he with a female till he's getting to grasp a thank you to be a female? It would not make experience. I incredibly have been around the international and in basic terms in Singapore have I seen it ensue. Please do no longer make it a subculture subject!! It seems so stupid. purses are meant for women persons!

Beseech me to elucidate it. You would look pretty funny using a handbag wouldn't you? I know that you are not gay but let them see you with a purse they will think that you are. Stick to the backpack. Good Luck

lol...that's a good question and one i've thought about myself..
They should invent some kind of male handbag and have some of the celebrities use them...u never know they might catch on that way..You could always be the first to start the trend! I'd give the pink beaded one a miss though

Messenger bags are an acceptable alternative to back packs. But if you want to carry a handbag, there is no law that says you can't.

I carry a real nice Harolds backpack( smaller then the camping type)
its made of leather and its chic, especially in the Summer, when you have no space for cell-phone, Ipod,Keys, what not.....I know what you mean you don't want to look feminine.
