90 percent of people do not know the meaning of racism. If you have seen a notice in a London house, saying 'Vacancies - no Blacks, no Irish, no dogs' you would have a better idea. The sooner the better people can talk of colour and race in a matter of fact manner the better. Incidentally, it is always best to know who the racists are at your place of work, as you know exactly where you stand with them. It is the quiet, non-assuming ones who never say anything that will stab you in the back when they have the opportunity because of your race or colour........

People don't know what it means. Disagreeing with someone that's a different race from yours is not racist. Not liking hip-hop is not racist. Not dating out of your race is NOT racist. Discriminating against someone SOLELY based on race is racism. I laugh at racist jokes, and I'm not racist. I don't think Chris Rock is racist. Being able to joke about race is not racism. A good book to read about racism is Ego Trip's Big Book of Racism. It's a really good book.
