For the BBC, it's at http://www.bbc.co.uk/tickets/. Tickets are free for BBC television and radio shows. Some shows, like Top Gear, are ticketed via ApplauseStore (http://www.applausestore.com/), who provide tickets for other broadcasters' shows.

It depends which country you are in. If it is the UK then you should contact the BBC Ticket Unit to see what is available. Tickets are free, and usually easily available; however some shows, both TV and Radio, may have a waiting list - the waiting time for the radio shows "Just A Minute" and "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue" used to be up to 2 years!

If you're in LA, go to Television City on Beverly(Ch 2) or NBC in Burbank, or try calling the stations, get the numbers out of the phone book. If you get tickets for something like Bob Barker they usually make you sit through something else before you get to the Barker show. Be prepared to stand in line for as much as an hour or more when you get to the show.

The TV station sometimes advertises in the Evening Standard for certain shows. Call that & they'll send you free tickets.

the waiting list for top gear is even longer than that! -sigh- I have no chance of ever seeing it recorded.
