Laminate flooring should be banned, it is really cheap looking. Best to tile a floor in a bathroom. Skirting boards should always be painted white. Dont be a chav, be stylish!

It might be too late but laminate flooring is not a very good choice for a bathroom. The layer under the laminate is made of wood and if the floor gets wet, it might ruin the floor or at least make it warped. Best bet for floors in bathrooms is always tiles.

brothers wife is an interior decorator and says of bathrooms...
tile the walls all the way to the ceiling in a bright but neutral colour
gloss work (skirting and door/window frames) is always white
floor should be tiled in big tiles to compliment the walls tiles
suite should be nothing other than white
laminate is going out of date really quickly - dont bother especially in a bathroom where water wil warp the wood even if you get laminate that is supposed to be for wetter areas wood does not like to get wet! - spend a little extra and get it tiled - if you dont like cold tiles have a heated floor fitted they are great and only cost a couple of huindred quid max. it will look so much better! if cost is the issue get a good quality vynyl that looks like tiles - there are some out there now where you have to look really closely to see that it is not real tiles!

Definitely match the laminate, don't paint the skirting. With all the different coloured wood stains out there you shouldn't have a problem matching the flooring. Sounds like it will look really good.

I would do neither.. I would not lay laminate flooring in a bathroom first off and if you have nice looking wood just put a coat of flat clear varnish on it... no staining. Naff. lolx

Leave it to match the laminate floor..
Cos you might decide one day to repaint the bathroom ..then u gonna have to repaint the skirting..

What on earth is 'torus' skirting?
If it is a 'brand name' of some kind, then 'Torus' is how it is spelt. But expecting us to know this and / or to recognise any of the significances without supplying any of the relevant details, just isn't helpful.
Sorry.

It's difficult to stain wood exactly to match another so I would paint it
