The muslims are a nice people and they do society a great favour by making the ugly women in their culture wear veils. Have you ever seen a nice looking muslim women wearing a veil? Point proved!

On a serious note though:

Muslims are taking Europe for a ride and the European governments are stupid enough to let them. I mean, surely its not difficult to say "if you want to wear your veil in public, then we will pay for your air fair to emigrate to any country in the world where that sort of custom is accepted".

Failing that, ask any muslim who wants to abide only by muslim customs (in Europe) to sign a petition to their home countries asking the government of that country to allow Europeans in their country to go out and binge drink on a Fri/Sat night, or maybe allow Europeans to wear bikinis on the beach or even sunbathe topless in the garden.

Muslims expect the world to respect their culture and religion, yet they do not have the "decency" to respect their host nation!

The answer is obvious - YES across the board Muslim or not, if you went into a shop with a balaclava you would not offend as such but make people observe you (to see if thieving), the problem is that if you cant see peoples faces then you instantly distrust them. The real problem is we are losing our tradition, tv has been dulled down over christmas. yet on the same hand they have barely anything that is cultural to them shown, so i think with a bit of give and take we could intergrate, but some compromises need to be made on both sides as it is getting a little petty. Does it matter if I wear a cross i see nothing wrong with it - a symbol of faith but also because it makes me feel that somehow it makes me a better person, maybe we should leave the religious thing alone - HASNT THIS BEEN THE CAUSE FOR TOO MANY WARS AND TOO MANY INNOCENT DEATHS ALREADY!!

You are so embarrassing!

Why would Muslims be offended by you wearing a balaclava? Do what you bloody like. If you came in my new post office I might get my gun out before you got yours out.

I am a Muslim girl. I am not offended. Also I doubt many Asian women are likely to get guns out form under their veils especially since women don't commit as much crime as men and you all think that Muslim women can't go out of the house. I doubt many Muslims care. Why do people ask silly questions like this? I don't care if you as someone suggested went past with a pork chop on your head. Why? It has nothing to do with us.

Not often that I agree with our politicians, but I too would be "uncomfortable" holding any sort of dialogue with a person whose face was masked.
Try going into an Asian/Muslim shop in a balaclava or a crash hemet and see how they feel about it.

Very interesting point.

Might be worth getting four mates to enter the shop with you, all wearing balaclava's, and watch for the reaction.

I imagine their immediate reaction would be to call the police.

So, again I say, a very interesting thought.

Let's do it.

Since 9/11, this is a changed world and things changed with it. Like it or not.. Who made the the decision that a woman must hide her face? Men? Most women like to flatter their faces.

If the balaclava is for religious purposes, then I don't think that they will be offended.

I think the Government has made us British 2nd class citizens , we are told not to wear our crosses or anything that shows our Religion as it may offend other Religions, But other Religions can wear what they wish to show theirs , surely we should wear what we wish? What is happening , where is the sense in it , I do not blame the other Religions , I blame The Government for this , give us back OUR rights. Sorry got on my box!!!
In answer to your question I think they would assume you were going to rob them so yes they would be offended as would I in their situation .

I think anyone would be offended if you walked into their shop with a balaclava on. They would probably think that you are a criminal. Are you?
