Aaah, yes, my mum still brings it out for Christmas every year even though I have now left home and have children of my own...

Memories...

When I was at boarding school, I made a "Nativity scene" in painted clay, there is a baby Jesus in a cot, Mary, Joseph, a donkey which looks like a cat and an angel.

I suppose I'll be seeing it again this year when I go to my mum's at Christmas - it's sooo sweet that she kept it!! Thanks for reminding me!

;-)

Yes - I painted a rock to use as a paperweight when I was about 9 (magenta background, green and yellow beetle!); my mom kept it and just gave it to ME last year when I turned 50!

I wrote this funny essay about my mom when I was 8 and she still keeps it! Actually she's put it in a frame!

Ps: Ever since whenever we have a fight she usually says that last time I said something nice about her was when I was 8 years old!!!

my husband is now 37.....when he was 9 he made a pom pom with his football teams colours for his dad.....believe it or not it STILL hangs on the rear vision mirror of his dads car.....it has been passed on to 5+ cars....i think it is hysterical...the colour of the wool has faded and it looks pretty tatty....but his dad just loves it......
