I've noticed that on the 15/16/17 day of my cycle and for a few days afterwards my breasts become larges, fuller, firmer and heavier. Is this normal? Anyone ever experienced this before?

Yes, it is normal. And I myself have experienced it before... even to the point of thinking I was pregnant, because breast enlargement and soreness is a sign. (I wasn't)

Additionally, breast volume changes during the menstrual cycle and menopause. Let us see how various hormonal factors affect the breast.

Factors that affect the breast

Although the breasts of non-pregnant women are generally considered inactive, they undergo cyclic changes associated with normal ovulation. Many women experience a premenstrual increase in breast size and density. Many women also feel breast tenderness in relation to these changes. This slight engorgement is probably due to tissue edema (holding water in the tissue). Older women who have fibrotic lumps may experience an increase in pain, usually along the perimeter of the breast mass. The volume and density changes are thought to be resultant of the changing levels of estrogens and progesterone during the menstrual cycle.

Hormone therapy, such as birth contraceptives, can also influence breast density. A constant inrush of estrogens and progestins can simulate premenstrual breast changes, often making the breasts tender. During menopause the changes in gonadotropins, estrogens and progesterone induce changes in both glandular and ductal components. Without hormone replacement therapy, the number and size of the glandular elements decrease and the volume of the breast becomes smaller. Likewise, there is a loss of contour due to the decrease in structure.

Hi, I wanted to tell you about my experience with the CurvyBust cream. I'm 24 years old and I've spent pretty much my whole life wishing I had slightly larger breasts. I'm normally a size A, I'd love to be a size B, especially when I wear certain kinds of low cut tops. I have a good figure, and I like what I have, but every now and then I would like a little bit more. Even if I had the money, (which I don't because I am a college student with loans to pay off), I would never consider going under the knife just to go up 1 cup size. So that's been my dilemma.
I found out about curvybust cream when I was flipping through (Yahoo Answers). To be honest with you, I'm not the type of girl who would consider spending money on a cream that promises to increase breast size. It just seems like an impossible thing to claim. But there were three reasons that I decided to go for it:

1) I contacted them via their website because I had a question about the cream being OK for sensitive skin (which it is, because it is made of natural botanical ingredients.)

2) I was really impressed by their customer service and willingness to explain everything to me. 3) They offered me a free 12 day supply with no obligation, (I just had to pay the shipping costs- I wasn't too thrilled with that but it was still worth it to get the free product).

Well, it's actually working! There is a noticeable difference in the size of my breasts! It's only been 10 days, and they say that the true final results won't appear until about the 4-6 month time frame, but based on what I can see, (and what my boyfriend can feel) there's definitely a difference. My breasts are standing out more, and they are fuller and rounder. Sometimes I am able to go out without a bra, now I can't. And I have a feeling that I might have to actually buy new bras if the growth continues. I'm looking forward to seeing how the next month goes. There might actually be a size B in my future! Woohoo!

Generally yes, they do get fuller and sorer.
The reason is the change/shift in hormone levels.
Usually, it's progesterone that's the culprit.
It is all very normal and natural.

Once your period arrives, that breast tenderness should disappear.

Taking Vitamin B6 and other Vit B supplements may help with the soreness.

I might add that breast soreness/fullness can also occur in very early pregnancy but that is usually 6 days after ovulation (once conception has occurred)

Apart from that, yes it's very normal.
If you are particularly worried, best see your dr. to explain further.
Yes, I get it all the time and the majority of women I know do as
well.

hope that helps!

feeling perfectly comfortable in your own skin again.

Technically, birth control pills contain only the hormones needed to control ovulation and have nothing to do with the hormones which deal with breast development during pregnancy. However, many women find that while taking the pill for the first time, they do deal with modest breast development, but this is not due to the hormones in the pill. What causes the moderet breast development is that your body is reacting to the changed level of ovulation hormones, which may cause you to naturally raise the natural hormones which prepare the breasts for lactation. But this is when first taking the pill and stops after roughly 6 months. You may note the breasts still firming during your cycle on the pill but that is just your natural hormone levels which will vary during your cycle and not the pill.
