I have been washing socks for years & i have never ever lost one ever... well I have always found them!!
do they get lost in the washing machine?
because the ones i lost either fell down beside the machine or fell off the line or fell into the garden when carrying the washing into the house or got caught in other clothing or the kids lost them at school or in the bedroom etc hubby went on a holiday & he lost a sock but not me never True lol

some college actually did a study on this, they get forced under the center washing post and fall to the bottom of the machine. If you get a chance to remove the spindle or the bottom of the machine you will find some of your socks.

hmmm I think 1 sock gets lost even before reaching the washing machine ! so it must be somewhere in room ^_^

Don't you know that the sock fairy comes and takes them to their kingdom??? They only need one at a time, so that is why they just take the one sock and leave the other. Hey, if anyone ever finds this kingdom, please let me know so I can go and gather all my lost socks up!!
