This is a public site designed for people to read questions, so I think your test of nosiness is too loose.

Are you nosey when you look at billboards and TV adverts?

Perhaps you could give an example of a public domain activity which would not be nosey by your criteria.

Don't need anyone to tell me I'm nosey - know it already! Unfortunately reading and answering this question doesn't prove it!

No; because in order to be nosey you have to be intrigued to know more about something to which you were not openly invited.

This question was openly asked and we have answered; we were intrigued to know what the rest of the question said; not nosey.

No, nosey implies intrusion. I am inquisitive so looked at your question and as you posted it on a public forum you are expecting responses.

Given that Yahoo! Answers has been established for the purpose of reading and answering questions as well as asking them I would disagree.

I would argue that reading your question makes me a curious individual.
