I am told, nothing is impossible.
I won't let be forced to give up either. I shall work to change whoever or whatever is that evil force !! I am a 'no nonsense' guy.

Obviously hearing... vision can to some extent replace lack of hearing with reading, and visuals, but hearing cannot replace the visuals, we know how badly a narration distorts the visuals !
And it is not just about communication...
Even perception through eyes is far more than hearing.

Given the choice between hearing and seeing, I would choose to keep hearing. I know what things look like, as a rule; being without the ability to speak or hear would effectively isolate me from other individuals. Also, as I am a musician, and a person who deeply enjoys all kinds of music, the loss of my hearing would be something that would be catastrophic to my way of life.

this is very difficult, something i think on quite often, and my answer changes frequently. tonight, i will say vision. my two greatest passions are books and music. without vision, you can read books with braille, but without hearing, there is no way to get the true effect of music. as for functioning in the world, it would probably be easier to be deaf than blind, since most of our lives are based on the visual aspects of the world. communication, for example, is like 95% visual, and the auditory aspects are almost irrelevant.

I would give up my vision cause one can get enlightenment by hearing but those who think they can see God through there material eyes are actually in darkness.

Give off your Hearing.
Vision is something you have always trusted more then your ears. (Just imagine hearing abt accident and seeing it!! or on positive note, watching soccer game in Central Germany and hearing it on radio in Africa).

Sight. I'm myopic and just about half-blind without my glasses or contact lens, and even then I seem to be pretty OK. If I were deaf though, I think I might just lose my sanity. I'm not really a visually stimulated person.

i think i will be very sad to lose either one. but if given a choice i think i will give up hearing.
why?
1 with eye, i can take care of myself
2 i can see the beauty of the world, like the nature
3 i can at least look what ppl write if they want to talk to me
but i still cant afford to lose one of them. i hope i wont lose either one of them. i m grateful to my god....

Yeah - I think it'd be worse not being able to see than not being able to hear but that's just me. This is not to say that blind people can't live fulfilling awesome lives but personally I think being deaf would less impede me than being blind.

I would not want to lose any, and might just kill myself if i do. I value hearing and seeing a lot.
