A rebuild kit & overhaul manual.

why does it need rebuilt? If it is just to freshen it up you should buy all new seals and gaskets, new rings and oil pump and anything else that shows signs of wear. You should have the heads ground to make sure the valves are sealing and plan on honing the cylinders to remove any scratches that might be in them. As far as tools are concerned you will need a whole assortment of hand tools like wrenches and sockets etc... as well as a few specialty tools like a ridge reamer and honing tool. You will need a few power tools like a drill and its nice to have a air compressor and blow gun. You should also go get yourself a book on the motor too so you know all the torque specs etc... also you will want to have some way to number or mark the parts so you know how they go back together. It is a good idea to put the caps back on the rods as you are taking them off because they are ground to a perfect circle one at a time and do not match with the others. Hope I have been helpful.
