I'm thinking about going there to do voluntary work for 4 weeks as part of a 12 month trip.

Many thanks

I haven't been there in person yet but many of my friends have and I have been there im my dreams :).

It's a beautiful area and since you are planning to go there for voluntary work, it sounds like you know it's not a very technically advanced place. They are not as far back as one might imagine though, there are high speed internet connections to be found although when you go to the rural areas you might not have a telephone access or cell coverage.

The people are wonderful, the food is great and I'm sure if you do this it will be an experience of a lifetime.

A point of interest just for fun. If you see a crew working there, you can tell who's the boss and next in charge by the size of their hats :) The guy with the biggest hat is the boss and don't you dare to show up anywhere near them with a bigger hat :) LOL

Oh grief, why am I bothering...as quickly as there became an island with a tortoise on it. somebody got here alongside and desperate to call the island Galapagos. Now you have the Galapagos Tortoise. How the undesirable undertaking have been given there interior the 1st place i do no longer understand. If God created them, then possibly he theory that they had like it there. If no longer, then whilst it became developed sufficient it swam (possibly on the grounds that then it forgot a thank you to), or crawled (whilst each and every of the land became one). besides the only ones who rather care are the tortoises themselves. or possibly they started there and unfolded to triumph over the worldwide...slowly.
