Or Guys....Have you had someone do this to you?
What was the reason this was done?....Was there regret?

What was the outcome?

No, I have not done this myself, but I have a male co worker whose ex just did this to him...she was trying to get him back...it went on for 4 months until she was found out..he is devestated, but she didn't get him back either....he refuses to talk to her...

Is it worth it?

I have posted this in another section too....

I did have a woman once tell me she was carrying my baby.

In order for you to understand how pissed off this made me, you have to realise that I can't wait to have children. Anyway, she kept me believing this for months. We HAD dated for a while, but found out we couldn't stand each other. She was always broke and I always had money, so she kept stringing me along, thinking I was going to look after her.

When she realised I wasn't going to give her any money until the baby was born (she said she needed money for "maternity shoes"), she admitted it wasn't my baby.

It was one of my friend's.

Needless to say, I haven't seen either of them since.

Years ago, during that delightful time after the advent of the pill and before all the furor over 'safe' sex, when condoms weren't much of an issue, a young lady I'd been with for several months announced one evening that she thought she was pregnant. It didn't startle me badly, I figured it was one of the risks you run, and didn't give much of a reaction. She never mentioned it again. If it had been to see how excited I'd get, she was disappointed. If she was late and things worked out she was relieved. We remained together for almost a year afterward. Such is life.

Well I have told him I was pregnant when I wasn't, but it wasn't a lie, I really though I was pregnant, 'cos I was 3 weeks late and I'm usually regular!!

He got really excited, but when we did the test it was negative. We were so disappointed that we decided we'd start trying for a baby seriousley right away.

Now I am pregnant, and we're both as happy as anything!!

I would say a lie like that is too big and too harmful, as your co-worker has found out. I wouldn't even do it as a joke.

;-)

No none of that. I did however as a April fools prank tell my hubby I was PG and he believed me. Then the next month I was really PG and when I told him he thought I was joking.

anyone who does anything like that needs serious adjustments! I try not to judge people but what that lady did was foolish, hurtful, and wrong. I never told anyone a lie like this. I've told my share of lies which is wrong in itself but I never told one this bad.

Yes to my bf. He got very busy with his job & we hardly got to meet, so I told him maybe I am pregnant to get his attention. Later, the test was negative, but now he takes greater care of me.
