X is Suzies age

X+2 = 2 x (X-5)
(X + 2)/2 = X - 5
1/2X + 1 = X - 5
1/2X +6 = X
6 = X - 1/2X
6 = 1/2X
12 = X

Suzie is 12. In two years she will be 14, which is twice 7, her age 5 years ago.
