Try the Panda free online scanner for free virus removal (won't remove spyware/adware for free though).
Ewido is also an excellent free antivirus/spyware remover program.

Ad-Aware is a great program that offers regular updates. It is available free of charge from www.lavasoft.com. It is really user friendly and works well.

God please do not try and downloading an antivirus software off the internet, thats the stupidest thing a person can do, my suggestion is at least invest in an anivirus software. You can purchase spysweeper for 30 bucks and works great, i have never had any problems
There are numorus viruses on download.com and people dont see or notice that, call me stupid for saying that but if you think about it, why take a chance in getting your identity stolen downloading them kinda programs rather than investing very little money

AVG Anti Spyware, used to be Ewido. Its brilliant, and free.
It will carry on working after the 30 'trial' is up; you just have to remember to update it yourself.

i have ad-aware SE personal that's a great one and removes spy ware , there is spy bot search and destroy or you could try the one from Microsoft.com. Theres plenty out there you just have to pick the right one

go to microsoft website and download "windows defender", its a tool that finds adware and spyware, and then lets you decide what to do with it, and its free.
