my 17 yr old step daughter wants to go on holiday with her mates from school will she beable to fly at 17 or even book a holiday. they are all realy excited and i don't want them dissappointed.

To book the holiday you must be over 18, but she can fly alone from 16. I went to New York with my boyfriend at 17. More to the point though....Is she mature enough to go abroad alone?? It's a scary world out there. If my dad had a choice i wouldn' have been allowed to go at 17

IF you trust her and think she is "adult" enough to control her hormones and not do anything you did at 17 she should be fine. If I had a daughter I wouldn't let her travel somewhere far away without an adult you can trust. Atleast go with her and stay in a room close to theirs.

In australia they have to have both parents permission to obtain a passport and permission from the parents to travel without 1 or the other parent being present I am going OS with 15yr old son and Hubby just had to sign box on passport application We are traveling with a group of 15-19yr olds to play basketball

of course i went on my first holiday withouth any parents when i was 17 went to faliraki, i hope she isnt going there its a dive. Went to Ibiza the two following years and had the best time of my life. Not all girls are naughty. Let her go and have fun she will love being away with friends

Nothing to stop them legally. Trust your instincts though, if there are more silly ones than sensible then it will be a recipe for disaster. The more of them that go, the more likely there are to be problems/rows so try to persuade her that fewer is better (4 or 6-no odd numbers)

I've never gone aboard on a holiday and especially on my own... but i guess there two ways to look at it... one , if you trust them enough to be going on their own? the other one is that its a way of letting them go and learning things on their own pace. I guess it would be a great experience for both you and your daughter. This will sure to make the bond between the both of you grow. Thats my point of view :)

Yep. the guidelines are stretched for the protection of the minor. besides, the know a 4 yo won't be able to be used for any rational reason different than to offer the cops with added information in an learn. it is inadmissable as rumour, won't be able to be used against the 4 yo, and a 4 yo usually won't be able to be imputed to comprehend the version between a fact and the lie.

I travelled on my own to Germany when I was 16, so yes your daughter can travel abroad. Just make sure she has a current passport.
