My boyfriend takes 2 multivitamins a day along with other supplements because he lifts and plays sports all the time. He follows the daily intake instructions on everything he takes with the exception of multivitamins. He takes 2 of those daily instead of the recommended 1 per day on the label? I was just curious as to if it is actually beneficial or perhaps even bad for you?

Actually if he's taking 2 mutivitamins daily in his routine, it will
not harm him and any excess of it will be discharged in the
urine through the bladder.
Also, depending on his physical built and size, he may require
2 tablets instead of 1 per day for normal person.
Anyway, you shouldn't worry too much as he knows exactly
what to do with his body.

half of a vitamin's benefits are either discharged or stored by the body. Taking 2 actually insures that you get the required dosage.

Not bad because vitamins aren't stored in the body and he's just wasting pills because all the excess vitamins usually end up in the urine...so tell him to save his money and focus on one.

Difficult to tell, we are constantly told, that if we have a good healthy balanced diet additional vitamin supplements aren't necessary.

He's wasting his money if he takes double the recommended dosage. There is no danger with the practice.
