I have a couple. They are my soul mates in different ways.
I have a friend that could be described as the male" version of me. We've lived together and apart (he's Canadian) and nothing has come between us. We have a connection that is unusual and hard for a lot of people to understand. And you know what? That's just fine with us! All of us.
When I met my other soul-mate (now my husband) I was blown away by him. Aside from being loving, kind and brilliant he has a wicked sense of humor. The two of us spend hours laughing together and still can't wait to hear what he's going to say next!
Getting the two of them together just confirmed how special both of them truly are. Unbeknownst to me, they were both nervous about meeting each other. My friend hoped my boyfriend would like him, because if he didn't, he thought it may effect our friendship. My boyfriend knew how much I loved my friend and was worried that he may not like him!
The two of them hit it off right away. It wasn't long before they were ganging up on me! When my boyfriend asked for my hand in marriage, my ring was made by my friends brother. When it came time for our wedding, my friend stood beside me as we said our vows.
My husband loves being a part of my dear friendship and has great appreciation and respect for it. I love him for that,
I have been truly blessed! I have a friend and a life partner. Though the connection is different with both of them one thing is the same. They both give me great joy and I'm thankful that they share their lives with me.

Yes, we've been married for nearly 9 years. Truly the best years of my life.
