family decency
educated
to be social
beautiful
dignity
Dignity is important as an individual but is out the window when you get married. After all you give a pathetic vow to one another of humility that the marriage goes first. Its a beautiful thing, Im not knocking it, but lets just call it what it is. A wedding is the funeral of your individual dignity.
you are that married part of a whole greater thing. family decency is high priority for raising dignified children. education is paramount for success and is an ongoing process until the day you die. to be social is important in a marriage actually because you want to network with other decent people so that you have a strong network of information to make business deals or keep a good job to afford a nice house in a good neighborhood. You want to be proactive in a community to keep it up to ideal standards. (protesting the installation of a new strip parlor for example). Beauty is important to attract your husband at first and to keep his eyes from wandering. If he really loves you though, you will never doubt him as he will consider your visage to be the epitome of beauty if he loves you. Beauty I place low because it has inherent value but it shall fade in time. Someone who places high priority on beauty does not have thier stuff together and is not very serious about living into thier older years with a responsible partner I think. Dignity is last. Because in a proper marriage (storybook) there is no need for it as partners serve the greater dignity of the family together. They are a singular entity under God and must go to one another and debate for best course of actions on any given issue, or delegate authority to specific subjects one another.

Looks are the first thing you notice, but the last you should care of in considering marriage.

Beautiful (inside and out, looks can't be the most important)
Dignity
Educated
Decency
Family (assuming that is saying how one turns out is a reflection on parents, of course it doesn't always work that way)
To be social
Its pretty hard to say what comes first. I think the first four can be equally as important so to list is pretty hard. To be social really doesn't matter if it is a good person

I'd rank these as :
1. Dignity
2. Sociability
3. Education
4. Family background
and, only as last
5. Good Looks !
...Physical 'Beauty' is only skin deep - and does not last for long. But if one's life partner has a beautiful mind, then life together will be real bliss.
