When my girlfried showers, takes a bath, or does her make up routine, she can walk around the house naked. She has son of 4 and a half years and I don't think it favourable for her to be seen in the nude by the little boy.
I've taken this up with her and she does not seem to see any problem with this. I, however, dissagree as I do not think it is very conducive for a boy to see his mother stark naked.
I'm I being too touchy or does anyone see this as a problem?

You are not being too touchy. I agree with you that a small child seeing his/her parent naked as not being conductive. Maybe you can try to take the boy out when you are around when seeing that your girlfriend is performing her 'routine' . That is just a suggestion , or, you and your girlfriend can try agree on some sort of compromise so that both of you can be comfortable with the situation.

No you not being touchy. A boy of that age is very susceptible to such things. Their minds are like sponges. What's she going to do when he starts school and tells the teacher that his momma walks around the house naked? What will she tell the Child Protective Services when they come knocking at her door? Your best bet would be to keep at her until she stops.

Well yes and no to you being to touchy. It is his mother and it helps him to understand that boys and girls are different and how. But he is starting to get to the age where he may not want to see mom naked. Also mention to your girlfriend that he is also at the age that he will say to some prefect strangers in a store "My mommy walks around naked all day" or something worse. That might help you.

What ever a kid see a kid will follow. A mother shouldn t to do because a kid will talk about it in school and other places. you made the right choice. A kid might walk around naked because they mother doing it. A mother should teach her kid the right example not the wrong example. Also he might think of sex and he may have experience seeing a girl naked he might want to rape a girl.

I'm not sure if its a problem. But I don't feel comfortabl being naked around my almost 3 yer old nephew who lives with me. I feel like he knows cus he stares at my private parts. I think it's a very weird different uncomfortable feeling.

I dont think its right, even at 41/2 years old is old enough to know. This child will be starting school soon. You know what they say "Children say the darnest things" and What would his teacher think if this child told her that his mommy walks around naked. Or that hes seen mommy's private. Your girlfriend would have CPS breaking down her door.

Not a problem as long as nothing "wrong" is going on such as touching or mutual bathing. But definately weird ! Maybe it is not a big deal to her as she might have grown up that way.Still strange.

Well I think 4 is getting to old for this, I think its good to teach your child not to feel ashamed of your body but he could develop fantasies about his mother as he gets older or have sexual feeling way sooner than he should, I think she needs to put on a robe and save the total nudity for when hes not around. This could cause him to have issues with women or sex later in life,maybe it wouldn't but why risk it, we have enough perverts running around already.

As long as the boy doesn't see her, it's ok... but when the boy is around, please get her to cover up...
I agree that it's not condusive for a little boy to see a naked mum around the house alot cos then, perhaps in future, he may not be able to understand the need to respect womens' body.

I feel it is perfectly fine. That way the child will be more comfortable with the body of the other sex and that will help him find answers to a lot of adolescent queries by himself. Moreover, I am sure that your gf will discontinue this practice once the child is grown up a bit..
