India is a vast Country and you will probably want to see as much.It depends on what you are looking for.Hill stations,Historic places,so on.From the Himalayas to Kanyakumari every place has something to offer. If Delhi Agra etc are historical places in the north you have Hyderabad and Chennai in the south.Hill stations like Mussorie Darjeeling in the north so in the south there is Munnar and Ooty.If Kashmir is known for the natural beauty in the north in the south it is the state of Kerala.
So Take time go through some books and plan your trip because you cannot cover the whole of India

I have been to many places in India, Chennai, Bangalore, Matheran, Panchgini, Lonavla, Kerala. But the best and the most beautiful one - which you will visit again and again is Goa.

Here the reason is very simple is because the language barrier is nil. If you know English or Hindi that is enough! The most free and best destination in India. The first time I went to Goa I fell in love with it! Goa welcomes u with open arms. But the best time to be in Goa is during Christmas. Plan you trip now to be able to have confirmed reservations in Goa so you can enjoy your holiday and need not run around last minute

Cheers!

We just have visited a lovely place in the South of Tamil Nadu on the way from Trichy to Madurai. A small guesthouse in the middle of Rural India near to a village called Athoor. A friendly Dutch couple, living there since 1997, runs Double Dutch Resort. It is situated in a valley, near to the foothills of Kodaikanal. A small lake in front of the house, lots of birds and a very good place for hiking into the coffee estates of the nearby hills (1300 m) or simply to have a swim and relax after some noisy days in busy towns.

Or simply search in Google on: Double Dutch Athoor

Enjoy

I have visited India a month ago and from the looks of it I like Mumbai best. The only thing that is negative in this city is the traffic and the slums. The people here are more friendly than in Delhi too.
