Bear in mind, less is more. Don't pluck out anything that you are not willing to live without for the rest of your life! Just because your eyebrows have always grown back in the past, doesn't mean they will this time. Pluck before bed so the redness settles down, never pluck before you're heading out!!!!
Find a shape that suits your face, and stick with it. If your face shape is rounded i.e. oval, round oblong etc the general rule is to shape eyebrows more angular. If your face is more angular i.e. square etc, keep the eyebrows more rounded. This creates balance in the facial features
To create a shape:
Brush your brows straight up with an old toothbrush or an old mascara wand, and then level off the top, smoothing along with the brush. If you have a few extra-long hairs, don't pluck them. Trim them so they lie down properly with little manicure scissors which are rounded and can easilly follow the shape of the brow .
Next, apply either an ice cube or some baby teething gel to numb the area, once you get used to plucking you'll find you won't have to do this.
Start & end point of the eyebrow:
The inside edge of your eyebrow should align with the inner corner of your eye and the the easiest way to work out how long the tail of your eyebrow should be is to imagine the under-eye line continued to where it would meet with the eyebrow.
START: Look straight in the mirror. To see where brow should start, hold a pencil vertically against one nostril. Where the pencil meets your brow is a good starting point. Repeat on the other side
END: Hold a pencil vertically against one nostril. Angle it so that it aligns corner of the eye. Where the pencil hits the brow is where it should end.
The arch of your eyebrow should follow the curve of your upper eyeline. Don't pluck out anything that you are not willing to live without for the rest of your life.
First take out any stray hairs in the middle bit above your nose. It will help you get used to the feeling of plucking the hair because it is usually less sensitive here than above the eyes.
Do your best eyebrow first, and then you can use it as a guide for the other one.
Start plucking from underneath the eyebrow, working from the inside, by the nose, to the outside. Grip the hair firmly and smoothly, and pull it in the direction in which it grows. Only pluck one hair at a time.
The golden rule is you should never pluck above eyebrow line but sometimes you might need to take unruly hairs out to give a graceful line, be extremely careful and only do a bit at a time.
However, it can drastically change the shape of your eyebrow and remember - it doesn't always grow back! Use extreme caution: if in doubt, don't do it, there is a reason for it being the golden rule!
To keep them in place when applying make-up, use clear mascara, it works for me!!
When you think you are done, hold a mirror in front of you, and look into another mirror behind you. This is the best way to see if everything balances.
Hope this helps & Good luck

One thing to remember is never to overpluck!!! A natural arch is most flattering. The eyebrow should start even with the corner of your eye, and should start arching up at the middle of your eye.It should end about even with the outer edgr of your eye. They sell these sticker forms, like stencils,at most drugstores. Those might be of some help for the first time. Also a light brown eye pencil(since you are blonde) Accentuates a good arch, and makes your eyes really show!

If you haven't plucked them in a long time then the shape could be out of line and they look like a bush, go get them waxed costs about 6 quid, this way you then can pluck them yourself because the shape is there for you to follow.
She says who has always shaved hers lol

The first time I plucked my eyebrows, I just did it a little at a time, starting with the outer edges and stray hairs.
It usually hurts a bit when you first start, but as you pluck them continually it stops hurting. It's like your hair follicals get desensitized to the pain... :P
The best way is to take flat edged tweezers! They work much better than angled ones. Angled tweezers don't grip the hair very well.

Ok.. I would not pluck them, I would try an eyebrow shaper...
It's like a razor for your eyebrows.. Tweezing takes too much time...
You can always go them waxed and they will measure and make sure it is done right. Since this is your first time, get them to do it first, then you will know exactly what to do, and there won't be any mishaps, gaps, or something you would be embarrased... That's just my suggestion! Best of luck, and best wishes.

Bobbi Brown counters provide eyebrow shaping service at my region. My first time eyebrow shaping has been done from there. I think it is better a make up artist does it for you at the first time and she will ask you what shape do you prefer, give you ideas and give a mirror to you to check your eyebrows while she is shaping your eyebrow. After that... you can follow the shape she did and trim it at home by yourself.

I have basically one eyebrow. I get my eyebrows waxed every couple months and tweeze in between wax sessions. I would get them professionally done the first time (Under $20 at Aveda salons) and then just keep it up by tweezing. The esthetician will give you the look that fits your face shape, etc.

I think for beginners it is best to let the professional help you first. the reason being, they can help you shape out the correct shape that is suitable for you. after that jyou can ust buy a twister then plug all those strands that have regrown.
