I had not heard of John Frum Thank you for the introduction. The Frumists have a number of things going for them. Evidently John appeared to them within the memory of still living people. And evidently their faith has paid off to some extent in the form of economic prosperity brought by tourists and returning Gis. Seems like a pretty sensible religion when you think about it. And they have holidays. At the very least a religion ought to provide an excuse to celebrate once in a while. I don't know of any religion that works better.

the tannese then built large canoes and loaded the animals aboard. the various types of beast were sent to different lands. as there were too many people on tanna as well, they were sent to different parts of the earth. at this time all people were melanesian. most people went to africa, however some were caught on the reef and thrown into the sea, where the saltwater bleached them white

i meen i don't know about you guys but i've heard far crazier things come from the catholic, jewish and islamic faiths like god created the universe in six days then thougt man i f*cked! im gonna have today off

and we as mankind create our own gods so no he is no less credible, lets all hear it for jon frum
