It is just a poetic way to express your feelings.. Heart is not involved atall in this process, its the brain which creates emotions like love.

Because before you fall in love you only have 1/2 a heart so your 1/2 and her 1/2 equal 1 whole heart. Why is it a half of heart? Because you are never complete until you find LOVE.

in a marriage, the man and wife are seen forever and deal with the community as a single entity. The perfect marriage represents a singular effort to the rest of the world. If one has an opinion then to the world it is functionally the others also. It is the married couples business behind closed doors to delegate authorities amongst each other and/or to decide a best course of action on any issue.
In church the man and wife are a single entity before God. Their fates they vowed to share until death do them part.

In Maths and Science 1+1=2 indeed. When you are in love one of the hearts (either your's or your partner's) doesn't disappear or fuse together in reality. It is just a metaphor, signifying the unity of two people in all respects, who are in love.

(generally, unless it is twins or threens,quadrapule...)
see its so simple as why 2 hearts become 1 in love.

The saying about two hearts becoming one is not meant to be taken literally. It is not referring to physical hearts.
Rather it is symbolic. The two hearts represent two spirits, or perhaps two minds with their emotions, if you prefer.
So, when we talk about two hearts becoming one, what we really mean is two spirits joining together to become one partnership.
It might help you to think of the image of the two wings on a bird. The bird cannot fly with just one wing -- it needs two to be able to soar.
Similarly love cannot exist with just one person. It needs to be directed to someone else -- and hopefully reciprocated by them.

when two hearts become 1 that means that you are sync with each other. Your lives are complete with each other. to sound like a movie cliche when you are truly in love with another they complete you. they are your other half.
