It varies in every state, in Oklahoma (starting Oct 2005, 3 months after I got my unrestricted license 10 days after I turned 17 haha) They are different if you've taken Driver's Ed vs not taking it. There's a whole bunch of **** you have to go through now. For the record I'm 18, had my license for over a year and have not gotten in a wreck, except for the one where someone rear-ended me and pushed me into another car but that doesn't count because it wasn't my fault (I was stopped for gosh shake)

The law says if your the age of 15 you may receive your learner license. And they just made a law in August that states you must be 17 or older to get your license.

My sons are 15 (9-10-91), they have their learners permit now. They are taking drivers training in school now, so no you don't have to be 18. However, in many states, if you quit school or do not hold at least a C average, your license may be revoked.

In WA all I know is that you get permit at 15 and license at 16 but can't have anyone younger than eighteen driving with you until the age of eighteen.

i really think thats a myth ... and it might be true in your state... not every state has the same laws about ppl getting their license... like in n.c you have to go through like 5 diffrent permits untill you get your license.
.... but remember it all depends on what state you live in ...

YES, unfortunately that is the new law depending on your state. I know for sure it's that way in Texas.

That would vary from state to state. That is not the case in Louisiana, I know that much.
