I have nothing against the show.... I love it..... but I think that viewer's voting is what gets rid of the good dancers, and keeps in the more popular ones

Personally, I agree. I think the audience should only count for maybe a third of the vote to the judges two thirds.
Unfortunately, that the audience gets an equal say in the outcome is one of the points that make the show popular.

I just wish people would vote for the best dancers and stop voting for who is popular. Mr. Springer should have left weeks ago.
He admits it. He doesn't even want to be there anymore.

That is the way this show plays out. I like all the dancers
but I also like the fact we can vote as well. Yes some good dancers get voted off but that is just the way it is.

I'm divided on this one. I see the judges rubbishing some couples who do quite well so I'm glad the viewers can help them stay in. Then is reverses when you've got the popular/cute people on the show so the teeny bobbers just vote for them.

It's more of a popularity contest but the voters do get to vote not only for their favourite dancer but also for their charity of choice and that's not a bad thing when you think of raising money for cancer research for example.

I love the show and agree with you. They make it out to be more of a popularity contest, rather than one of talent. Why bother busting their butt practicing when they know that no matter how good they are, if they're not as 'popular' as someone else who isn't doing as well, they're going home?!
