Is there anyone out there who's familiar with the novel "The Awakening" by Kate Chopin?

I'm doing a research paper for english. And the topic is: Discuss the use of symbolism inThe Awakening.Identify several major symbols and analyse their use,their meaning, and their effectivness. what i need is a thesis statement for an outline. can somebody please help me with this assignment,

Have you finished reading The Awaking, and have you thought of what symbols are used within the tale?

Did you read 'The Love Song J. Alfed Prufrock' and encounter the line "...'til human voices wake us, and we drown."

And if you read The Awakening, and also Prufrock, you should be able to write your statements, outlines, research ideas, agendas, papers, and whatever, because you would have such a deep and symbolic understanding of Chopin.

Well at the beginning, she sometimes neglects her children which was quite shocking to her husband because women DOTED on their children then but as the book progresses, she neglects them TOTALLY and her in-laws have to come take them away because they are worried. She starts to go out when she wants without permission and with noone knowing where she goes She moves her husband's house so she bgins to become more independent of him As for the chapter 14 question, well . . ou'll have to do your homework yourself I'm afraid

Do your own homework. I struggled through a bajillion feminist lit classes, and Chopin is not a difficult writer--The Awakening is pretty simple. Besides, we don't know your argument and so can't provide a thesis.
