the graphics are very poor. and if u think about it, u have be standing to play the freaking thing. i don't think the controller is that great it's just another way 2 look stupid while playing games. AND IS YEAR 2006 AND MOST PEOPLE ARE BUYING HD-TV SO WHY ISN'T NINTENDO MAKING HD-GAMES? GRAPHICS IS EVERYTHING!!!

When you say most people, you're obviously going off your experience. Nintendo has done research on this. You don't last as long in the business as they have otherwise.
Nintendo is trying to bring new consumers into the gaming market by making games you can pick up and play and not have to play for hours before you finally remember all the buttons.
And graphics aren't everything. Do you not have any old games you go back to and play? Why do people do this? BECAUSE THE GAMES ARE FUN, and people play games to have fun. If you just want something pretty then go to an art gallery or movie theater. You also have to remember that the screen shots they've been showing off are from games that aren't complete. While the Wii won't be able to stand up next to the 360 or PS3 graphically, the graphics don't suck. In fact, they are better than anything current-gen.

First of all the graphics are not very poor. They are 1.5-2X as good as a Gamecube.
2nd of all, you don't have to stand up to play most games. Get your facts straight, you obviously don't know anything about Nintendo.
I honestly don't care if Nintendo's Wii is going to be hdtv compatible. Most households don't even have it anyway.
and only an ignorant microsoft/sony fan aboy would say graphics are everything. If your a real gamer you'd know that gameplay is the most important factor of a game/system. I'd rather play Donkey Kong then a realistic ps3 game that has the most crappiest storyline ever.
