IQ is not an accurate measure of intelligence or smartness. Get over yourself. Why is it that most of the really smart people never seem to know their IQ or care about it enough to check it? If you were as smart as you claim why would you be asking Yahoo a question? Do you think I think You are as smart as You think You are. Please consider these points!

Well you dont have to size people up because of your iq, a wise man looks for the inner wisdom that recedes when the mind does not judge by apperence, and learns from the standing of ones soul. Some people might just not understand you everyone is different but we all have some common lines and guides we all die, eat, crap, get cold, hot, love, live, and grow old. Join clubs or activites that you meet people that like to discuss things that you enjoy, have you tried mensa, that is an organization for people that score in the 2%. Well anyway I just try not to judge and know that your smarts is a blessing and use it to do something meaningful in your life. That is what you should do. I have a very high iq but I still have friends and people who love me for who I am, yeah if I probably talked about some of the stuff that goes on in my head I would be thought of as crazy, my friends say I think to much but I would think to much than to little, seek in understanding yourself, and your whole life and understanding will bloom, goodluck

IQ's do not measure all meanings of "intelligence".
An IQ also correlates with job performance, socio-economic advancement, and "social pathologies".
You may be communicating with others who have an equal I.Q. rating, however, variation among individuals may be due to genetic and/or environmental factors.
So....just because you have an I.Q. of 162 does not mean you cannot communicate due to your being "more intelligent".
There are those of us with higher I.Q.'s that have no problem communicating. We also don't flaunt our I.Q. which may be the problem you have in that it is a turn-off to most people.

Yeah, just enjoy the fact that you can see through almost any piece of B.S. they can come up with. Perhaps you can just have fun with people and not have any "worthwhile" conversations? Or just find a group of kids like you.
Peace out buddy.
P.S. Don't tell people how smart you are. Be humble that brings alot of respect. If they ask for you help give it to them.
I know my arm always iches in class. Don't raise it unless you know you're going to be sitting there for 10min while everyone else chugs away at the question.

No, I don't have any problem like that. I just let it go and don't try to be big cause of my I. Q. Mine is 169 and my only problem is I often go days without any sleep and I watch TV and work on my computer at the same time. Good luck.

why do people know your IQ anyway? from all the everyday conversations for years that I was born i have never mention, hear, or discuss anything about IQ unless if the person with high IQ trying to rub their IQ in your face and brag about it. So I suggest you not start with conversation with anyone with "Do you know my IQ is 162?"

I empathize with you... and have felt some of this isolation in the past ...
Commiting my life to Christ made a big difference to my life (in terms of not being isolated -- even when I am alone, apart from other humans, I am always in the presence of God)...
--
My background: I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).
For scientific and intellectual evidence for the existence of God, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/godsci/evidence.htm
Cordially,
John

Why do you tell your IQ to people?
I have this problem sometimes; I feel conversation never moves beyond frivolous; but there are people I can talk to about anything!
(Probably my IQ is not that high...)
I was just about to advise you to pray, but I realized this is not he religion page. Sorry! But it would be a good idea anyway, trust me.

wow people I dont think he flaunts it, afterall he says he hates it. I also dont think he wants you to solve any problems, just if people also have them. I believe he has the i.q. he says he has, because why should he lie here? I hate talking to really smart people because i just don't want to look dumb
