Thanks, how about great dining near the Downtown area, around 17th Street off Broadway?

Denver is an interesting town. See the website below for some recommended activities.

Be sure to visit the Big Blue Bear and the Art Museum. If you're a serious carnivore, have dinner at the Buckhorn Exchange or The Fort. Vegetarians will enjoy Domo, Watercourse, or Taki's.

I hope you enjoy your time in our city.

Deep Thought

PS - Denver has an elevation of one mile = 5280 feet = 1609 meters. The nearby mountains rise to 14264 feet = 4348 meters. Only persons in poor health normally need to be concerned about altitude sickness in the city.

I think taking in the State Capitol is a great thing to do...
It is so beautiful, and the grounds are covered in trees and squirrels, so be sure to take a few peanuts to feed the squirrels...

Also the Molly Brown house is a museum now, if you recall her, she was the unsinkable Molly Brown on the Titanic, and the house is located near the Capitol...
You can arrange a tour and buy souvenirs there as well...

i just relcated back from San Francisco. Denver itself is nothing great, but it's about a mile above sea level, so be prepared for a bit of altitude sickness if you suffer from it easily.
my suggestion - if you really do have time, go visit Aspen, Lake Tahoe and altho you are not really near, the Grand Canyon. Take in an American Football game too coz the atmosphere is nothing compared to the pathetic Kallang Roar.

Go to the Fort for dinner. It is a very different experience and worth the drive. I ordered a buffalo steak and buffalo marrow bones. There is a natural history museum which is very nice and the Denver mint and the capitol building.

The Mint is kind of special. You can easily spend a whole day in the Museum of Science and Nature. You can also go skiing--ski areas are already opening.
