Consider 3 things:
1. Academic interests and talents. Engineering requires excellent mathematical, logical, and mechanical skills. Medicine is geared towards pure and applied sciences of biology, chemistry, anatomy, etc., as well as social sciences of psychology, anthropology, and forensics.
2. Finance and time requirements. Engineering is a relatively shorter program (usually 4-5 years to finish) and also cheaper in almost all respects (tuition, laboratory fees, books, etc.). Medicine is a graduate degree which you can only take upon finishing college.
3. Career opportunities. Both fields offer tremendous career opportunities. Engineering is applicable in almost any business organization, while Medicine is mostly used in hospitals, research laboratories, and pharmaceutical companies.

A lot depends on what your tolerance is for many variables. If you really like people, don't mind working odd hours and paying a lot in student loans and malpractice insurance then go for medicine.
If you want a job that has regular hours, you don't necessarily need an advanced degree in and may not offer advancement quickly in terms of salary go for engineering.
Good luck

It depends which do love better do you get up every day and say I want to build something. Or do you say I want to help someone. Neither one is bad or good they both have thier ups and downs. You just have to wiegh them both and come up with an answer for your self. For me I would probably choose medicine. But that's me not you. I personally want to be a teacher, things being what they are I can not.Choose what you care about the most and do it.

Definitely Medicine. Look around you, people are always getting sick and there is a great need for medical staff. Plus it's a great job security and make more easy money than other fields.

with engineering you have more opertunities, faster growing fields then medical. Faster turn around in jobs, less stress, and easier to get into. Less schooling. Easier on the ol pocket book also. T
