Which is better? The TV Serie or the movie?

I think the movie is another dumb remake of a show that didn't need to be remade. I loved the series

Michael Mann's new movie has little to do with the old TV series other than the character's names.
But if you want to watch a good movie, Miami Vice is a great movie to watch. It's not as bright and hip, but much more real...
Mann's movie is incredibly entertaining despite a weak, almost detached, performance by Colin Farrell. The plot, action sequences, and momentum are all Mann at his best!
Passion and sex play major roles in pitting Crockett and Tubbs against the person staring back at them from their mirrors: themselves. Instead of worrying about how they look, Miami Vice pits the good cop, bad cop ploy to the max! The battle rages within the officers and their struggle to choose right and wrong.
You do not need a soundtrack for this epic tug of war, you can literally hear the hearts pounding; yours will do the same, I guarantee.
Much better than Collateral, a similar effort from Mann, the movie will keep the "heat" on for the entire movie journey.
Miami Vice is a hit!!!

In comparison to other Michael Mann films such as Heat and Collateral, this film effin blew! I was sooo disappointed when I watched this movie. Notice I said movie instead of film. I was also let down because the man who made this film was the man who also produced the original Miami Vice television series. Therefore I expected it to be a lot better. Oh well, maybe they will make another one with different people and it will be better.

The movie does not worth the effort of just taking the DVD out of the case. The TV Serie was ok.

i havent seen the tv series, im 16 n i live in japan...what'd u expect?
i liked the movie, it was sexy and cool.

film not worth watching in the movie theatre...
sick of all gong li's movies, coz she doesn't know how to act! kind of a trying hard actress...
movie worth watching only bec of colin ^^
