Everybody already give an answer as the "Moonlighting."

This classic television series from the 1980’s starring Bruce Willis (as David Addison) and Cybill Shepherd (as Maddie Hayes), one of the highest-rated shows on television during its run on ABC from 1985-89 and a recipient of six Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards had its 20th anniversary and already been in its Third Season release.

This television series tells the story of Cybill Shepherd as former high-fashion model Maddie Hayes, who discovers one morning that her business manager has stolen all the money she has in the bank. However, it turns out that she still owns some non-liquid assets – money-losing companies that were maintained as tax write-offs. Planning to shut his detective agency down, Maddie meets with fast-talking private eye David Addison (Bruce Willis), who persuades her to keep his business open. Maddie becomes David’s new boss, and while their personalities clash, a sexual tension arises in the time they spend together.♥

The program that you are looking for is Moonlighting.

A brilliant program from the 1980s'.

I remember when they used to do a little "sequence" right at the end of the program.

When the script writers were on strike and they had to make it up. They ended up doing a version of Woolie Bully.

Totally brillant series until they spoilt it by getting the characters together. They should have just kept it as a "Will they, won't they" story all the way through the entire series.
