Well, it does affect a lot of young women these days. The media tells you what you should look like, sound like, be like, think like... very frustrating because it doesn't encourage individuality and you have little clone-like barely legal teens that think that because they have a certain hair color and bra size, everything will be perfect! And if they can't be like that, well it's the end of the world!!
Parents are too busy with everything else and forget sometimes to encourage their daughters to not succomb under the pressure ( of being thin, of having a prada purse) and realize what's ultimately important in life : good values, good head on your shoulder and a heatlhy life!

It NEVER has affected my sense of being an Adult Female -- because, well ...
I do NOT care what others think about or see as a 'typical' female model of behavior, dress or anything else ...
I did MY own thing, on MY terms, with MY hard work providing for MY needs and MY children's needs all my life!

Yes in a way. I feel the need to look 16 years old. That isn't normal. I subscribe to adult magazines but yet there are 15 year old girls in all the ads.

sometimes a book is so good that I have to stay up all night and finish it, then I dont feel so great in the morning. I dont really try to let it affect me, especially if its fiction. I dont read many mainstream magazines. movies: probably badly, you get that whole 'fairytale affect' where you wish it was your guy and try to chase that illusion.

Ofcourse we can not truly know this. We are but computers with a conscience, so the programming we receive from all angles is hard to measure.
However, I don't believe it has influenced me much. I am happy to say my self esteem is very much in tact.

Yes it is. I have worked in the court system for many years and I have seen changes in the form of increases in violent acts by younger women. The worst thing is, they often think they should get away with it because they are women. Violence is violence. The culture has changed, and it is not a positive thing in regards to the increased amount of violence.

The way I see it is if ppl don't like me or the way I am,
