Really the side effects are there more for children. I am an adult w/ ADHD and I am extremely severe depressed (clinically) and when you combine depression meds and ADHD together then it can work, or make one of the two worse. ADHD alone you shouldn't have too many really no side effects. If anything it helps you to get motivated and do more things which will hwlp with weight loss. Ritalin - I took and had no side effects, now I'm on Focalin - all it does side - effect wise is gives me energy. Side effects of any medication goes away when you body accepts it as a recognizable everyday object.

Most successful remedies lie in the intake of dietary.. the main thing mentioned by those taking care of kids with this problem is to eliminate all sugars from the diet. Coffee seems to have the opposite effect and will actually create a sedated state rather than one usually associated with caffeine intake.
