In mid-term elections, the party which controls the White House typically loses seats. This will be the case in this election.

For the Dems to take control the Senate, they need to sweep every competitive race which is very doubtful. The GOP will control the Senate by 1 or 2 seats.

In the House, the magic number is 16 to flip control. There are several close House races in Ohio, New York and Indiana. Dems will likely take 18-25 seats.

I hate trying to predict politics but I am hoping that the Democrats will take over or at least have a 50-50 split.I am hoping America has had enough of scandals and is ready for some change.

I'd love it if we could take control of the Whitehouse, but that's not for a couple more years. As for the House and Senate... realistically? No. Not all at once. But my prayers are with us.

Just in case this was a trick question. . . .if they win enough seats to "take control", actual control will not change until they are sworn in which takes place in January.

let's think about this logically. gay folks don't try to "recruit" straight people. orientation is natural. traditionally, republicans are religion based and against gay people. democrats don't advocate gay people but, understand the nature. how do we deal with republicans that are propositioning same-sex children? they are pedophiles and against their religious and political views. they just need 2 realize what they are. i am not saying all republicans are gay. they just need to be true to themselves. the stereotypes will never end.
