If its a dry cough that doesnt last longer than a week id suggest lemons and honey. If its a cough where you have some congestion or spitting up anything with it... Id go see a Doctor and he could prescribe something. For herbal rememdies...best to check with a doctor before using...but eucalyptus oil in a vaporise makes a soothing steam. The herb Fenugreek makes a tea that is a good expectorant. Goldenseal powder mixed in warm water relieves congestion and it is soothing to inflamed mucous membranes.( use 1 teasppon of goldenseal powder in one pint off boiling water let cool then drink)... and can be taken up to 6 times a day. Lungwort is a good upper respiratory herb.take 1 teasooon full of this dried herb in hot water and drink one cup a day. Mullein tea is wonderful for dry nagging coughs. If its a cough from a cold .. may i suggest the old fashion remedy Chicken soup. Good luck and hope u feel better soon! :)
