I assume you mean the birth control ring..
Nuva Ring is supposed to work well. The ring is 98 to 99% effective at preventing pregnancy. All birth control reliability does depend on the person using it since if they do not change it on time or insert it right or forget to take a pill, etc - the percentage would then decrease of course. But - the pill (and mini pill) reliability rates are from 92%-99% so technically the ring has been proven to be more reliable. You wear it for 3 weeks, take it out for the week of your period and then reinsert a new one the following week.
I could see a problem with this being that women are not that familiar with their bodies down there and may not insert it properly - you are not supposed to feel it at all but some say they do, which more than likely means it is in wrong which would make it unreliable - this is why I tend to think of it as more risky than the pill -which I never had a problem remembering. I have also been on the Depo Provera shot which is horrible and causes many long term side effects (let alone the horrible immediate/short term ones). I wish I had known all of the negative risks, etc associated with that but it was fairly new then and it seems that they never know the "real" risks until much much later - but apparently even the trials for that drug causes cancer in lab animals, etc. It has been linked to fibromyalgia in many patients as well and severe bone loss - even in younger women. I mention this in case you ever know someone who is on it - tell them to read about it on wikipedia.org - they would never get it again.
The higher reliability rate for the ring must be due to the fact that you only have to insert it once a month which is easier for some women to remember than taking a pill at the same time every day - the risk with pills is that you forget to take one, if you do miss one - you don't take the right actions, etc
Here is a link that reviews all BC methods and reliatbility rates~

It causes more problems then it fixes i would get the brass thing that goes in and its 100% effective ask the docter about that or the peice of metal under your arm thats 100% effective also .... oh and the first one is good for 3 years you dont need to change it and if you want to have a baby just ask the docter to take it out

Yes, it does. If you insert it properly, you can't feel it. Just like a tampon! Also, there is less room for error since you leave it there for a few weeks and don't have to remember a pill every single day. It's worth a try. If you don't like it, there are plenty of other options out there.

Are you talking about the birth control one. If so I tried it and I hated it. I felt it the whole time which they tell you you cant,...but you can. And I didnt feel like it was that sanitary it can actually cause infections too. I would just take the pill orally

Better not to use such artificial things inside your vagina. They are all harmful in someway or other.
