You can get a lot of nice used muscle cars for 20,000. Old chevelles, camaros, barracudas, gtos, firebirds, maybe corvettes, chargers, challengers, or of course you could go for a rice rocket, hondas, nissans, mitsubishi, hyundai. The first list are all american made muscle cars, and they will have to be used to get them for under 20G. They will probably need a little tlc, but they will tear asphalt up. The second list are all foreign cars mostly japanese etc. You might be able to buy some of them new for around 20G, and they can be modified to light your tires up. happy hunting

under 20 puts you in the used market but not in the slow lane ,look for an LS-1 six speed camaro/firebird aroud 2000-2002,also subaru WRX STI ,1998-2000 mustang cobra with "SUPER CHARGER",some very nice 'VETTES are available at that price.I picked these because you can still get them financed and insured but if you have 20k in cash then the sky is the limit for some cool engine swap canadates!

you can pick up a b5 (1999-2002) audi s4. it's pushing around 250hp with 258 torque. with a 2.7 liter twin turbo and awd. very few mods and it'll keep up with a lot of cars today.
price is around 13,000 - 25,000$

affordable on who's budget, how much are we talking here, under 200000 under 100000 under 50000 dollars what?
