I'm afraid so. With the nuclear crisis currently going on in Iran and North Korea, it looks like Bush wants to start expanding the war even further from Iraq and Afghanistan. You know that will cast a dark cloud over this incompetent president! We don't want anymore war! Peace and diplomacy should be used to defuse the tense situation in both countries!

A strike force led by the aircraft carrier Eisenhower is currently making its way to the entrance of the Persian Gulf, with a predicted arrival date of October 21. The Navy officially claims that the Eisenhower’s deployment is part of a normal rotation of ships in and out of the Gulf. But The Nation reports that the carrier’s deployment date was pushed up significantly. Both Time and MSNBC say the move was accompanied by a request from the Chief of Naval Operations to revamp a plan to blockade Iran from the Persian Gulf.

Retired Air Force Colonel, Sam Gardiner claims that officers of the deploying ships contacted him and "complained that they were being sent to attack Iran without any order from the Congress." But the president might see it differently. When Bush addressed the U.N. in mid-September, he claimed that Iran's leaders were "fund[ing] terrorism and fuel[ing] extremism." And President Bush has made a point of broadly interpreting the post-9/11 congressional vote authorizing him to combat terrorism (including as authority to conduct warrantless surveillance on American citizens). He could potentially initiate conflict with Iran with no further congressional approval.

We all know he is a war monger. In the cases of Iran and N korea has probably been advised, since he cant think for himself, to stay away from fire. Every country must arm themselves with nukes or else Bush will bully and hold the world at ransom. If all nations have nukes, who will Bush sanction or start a war with?

You mean another war? I hope so. I hope we go afer Iran and Korea. We don't have to put boots on the ground. But its time to put the arm on them and give them an ultimatum. Then let loose the bombs on their weapons stashes.
Clinton had troops all over the world as well. In fact it was Clinton who drew up the war plans for Iraq, and Clinton advised Bush that Sadaam had WMD's.
Maybe that doesn't play with many peoples little anti Bush party, but its true.
The Muslims have declared war on the western world already. They are attacking and killing all over the world, in case you haven't noticed. That monster has many heads and this war may last generations.
If a Dem wins the next prez election, they can stop complaining about the war. Then the liberals will be all for the war, because it will be a Dem in office. Pathetic.

Hasn't he already started a couple?

I have to say he's dealt with Iran and North Korea in a much more rational way than I ever expected.... he honestly has more reason to start a war with either of those two countries than he ever did to start the Iraq war... I hope he continues to try diplomacy with these two countries - but if that doesn't work something has to be done. Iran and North Korea are both serious threats to peace and stability in their regions.

George Bush responded with extreme force to an attack on our country.....Don't you remember the way you felt that day? When the towers fell? Didn't you want to bring justice to those who died? I remember and I would have been angry with George if he hadn't responded with force. Do we need an exit strategy for Iraq? I think we do. Do I regret the fall of Saddam? Absolutely not. He was a dictator committing genocide and I'm glad he is in prison. Do I think Bin Laden is worth pursuing? Yes, he took responsibility for the attack on NYC and I hope they nail him. And you?

We have one going on, but I honestly think that Bush is trying his best to keep his mouth shut about N.Korea....but with north Korea declaring war who knows what happens. I bet Bush is just waiting for the north Korians to pull something stupid. Like try to hit Alaska with one of their bombs...oh wait they tried that already.

Whether there is a new war or not GB will get the same benefits from the US . It seems to me his opponents stand to loose a lot if democracy takes over .Why are they so desperate in Iraq?

2006-10-17 18:57:44 · answer #10 · answered by Anonymous · 1 0

I think our actions in Iraq have caused other countries to think that we will use military force before diplomacy. I don't think that is what Bush intended but he overestimates the effectiveness of force in settling international conflicts. He ain't no Reagan.
