Too many innocent children are becoming the victims of School Shootings. If it was made mandatory for the bullies to be sent to counseling, the recipients of bullying wouldn't snap and feel the need to bring guns to school.

This topic really needs to be addressed.

It depends on what type of newsletter it is. I used to write for my school newsletter and there were some pretty heavy articles in there.

Personally I wrote articles with a positive twist, a happy ending, a humanitarian story. Once I did an article about a teacher who is a cuddle mum. A cuddle mum is a person who sits in hospitals and holds babies while they cry and scream and crave love all because their mother was addicted.

I took it from the point of view of making the reader aware that there was this problem out there and what it does to the kid. More though I made it about the joy of having the baby calm down, what you get from it, how one person can make a difference etc.

Try this one "Let the dead bury the dead, go and preach the words of God" on planet earth.
Write what good has been done for the good of mankind on planet earth.
Write was is wrong and hi-light it and come up with a solution so others can look into it and solve the problems.
The problems is we did not learn an old saying " Children are to be seen and not to be heard" which does not change with time but stays in time so we keep on asking the little children to solve the problems and they keep on kicking their own butts and make a monkey out of themselves in making a mess in "Planet of Apes" on planet earth.

The best topic to write about is something you know well, either an interest or something you have experienced. It is easier than trying to research something that you don't understand, have no interest in or have not experienced. In my opinion these stories tend to make the best reading. Good luck.
