It's not hard to own a property in Costa Rica. Most of it is own by the government but you can buy it. My family owns a beach down there, and I think Liv Tyler owns an island in the "Golfo de Guanacaste"
Positive:
-Political stability (doesn't include corruption). The government might be corrupt, but the country is far from falling into some dictatorship regime. The government is extremely open towards foreign investments. So, anybody can own all the properties they want. And the legal process is fast.
-Good investment, the country is known for its tourism.
-Low property taxes
-It's beautiful
Negative:
-Slow economic growth (don't expect something like China or India)
-Real state is not as cheap as the world thinks. European, American, and Far East Asian (Japan and Taiwan) investors has been pulling the prices up too fast.
Nicaragua does have a lake, but the country's future (especially political) is too uncertain. Besides, since they are barely bouncing back from communism (Sandinismo), many legal and govermental laws are still ambivalent.

Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is also one of the places where many people are buying properties as an investment or to establish a vacation home. SteinerInvestment Costa Rica is comprised of many professional real estate agents that will guide you in buying your property in Lake Arenal area. They are very much familiar with all the excellent places in Lake Arenal where you can develop your business or build your home.

Nice idea... but unfortunately buying an island in Costa Rica is not possible. They are public, same as the beaches, you cannot have a "private beach".
If you have any doubt you can contact a real estate company in Costa Rica, but they will tell you the same thing.

I don't know if you're dead-set on Costa Rica, but if you're not I recommend Nicaragua. Lake Nicaragua has a lot of islands of varying sizes and they're beautiful. I'll try to get back to you with a website for more information.

I went to St. Lucia for a trip as quickly as with my spouse and all of us we met replaced into on their honeymoon or attended a trip spot wedding ceremony there. I has a rain wooded area and seashores. We did the Sandals all inclusive deal, that's ok for eating, however the nutrition is kinda small parts. you additionally can pass from motel to motel for seashores and eating place. St. Lucia, like many Caribbean places, has secure aspects and not so secure aspects. It has some undesirable roads besides yet aspects of it replaced into alluring. you could hire a hut on the coastline outdoors of the lodges for actual looking costs. honest warning although, in June the carribean is gonna be sweltering warm i could think of.
