Definitely DisneyLand! First off, Universal Studios may never exist if it weren't for DisneyLand. DisneyLand was the first theme park ever created and it paved the way for all the others. Universal's in competition with DisneyLand, and they're failing horribly.

While DisneyLand's attendance rate continued to increase by 8.5% in 2005, Universal Studios attendance continued to decrease by 6%. No surprise!

Just take a look at this page...

But if it's your son's choice, whatever he'd like. I'm sure he'd enjoy both. Though, you absolutely can't go wrong with DisneyLand. And it's the Year of a Million Dreams Celebration!

I'd go for Disneyland, even though Im not a kid. It's just basically a cooler place. The whole thing is geared towards youger kids, but it's still fun. Universal Studios is smaller and has less attractions. If you wanna b cool with your friends, ggo to UniStu, but if u wanna relax, go to Disneyland

oh, and r u korean?

I would definitely choose Disneyland. There are two great parks right next to other. Both of ther parks have great rides for kids, parents, and adults. They have 5 roller coasters in which I like 4 of them.

They also have more kids rides like Winnie the Pooh, Buzz Lightyear where you shoot things, Star Tours (based off of Star Wars) is a motion simulator, Jungle Cruise is a funny ride, Pirates of the Caribbean, swings, and a really fun Ferris Wheel if you get the swinging cars.

Add in the Tower of Terror where you drop some amount of stories up and down in an elevator, Snow White ride, Alice in Wonderland, Tea Cup ride, Muppets show, Bugs Life "scary" show, and Indiana Jones fun car ride.

I like these parks better than Disneyworld. One park is called Disneyland, and one is called California Adventures.

I suggest you to go to Disneylnad,
Even i will go there soon, and I am excited. You surely go there as your kids will surely love it. In Universal studios, there are no rides that can be good and not scary for kids.
I will give you a list of rides in which you can sit and have fun:

2) Disneyland is child friendly, yet very entertaining. There are suprises instead of evil looking scares.

1) if a roller coaster looks to fast for you in California Adventure, don't go on it. I haven't been on Space Mountain (Disneyland) since it was upgraded, it is completely hidden behind walls/ceiling. It was beyond mellow, but it has injury warnings for those with a weak back or pregnant. The Matterhorn (Dis.) is quick and fun.

The haunted house is all "Nightmare Before Christmas" (Dis.) at this time of year. Very fun!

It used to be easy they had tickets for the rides and listed the rides on the tickets they were for. A ticket had the trolley car, etc. the E ticket had the best of the best rides listed. Now they have long lines to slow you down instead of tickets (since the late 1960s). Get there early, get a ride pass (fast-pass I think it's called). Look for the machines at the best rides, and get your ticket ready. The machine gives appointments for your ride on it. It reads your card and issues a pass to you. You can only have one at a time (I think), and the best rides sell out fast. There are separate lines for those with the pass and they are fast. Otherwise you can be stuck in a slow line, which is what you do at another rides, while waiting for your appointed time on the fast pass.

When we were young, we used to get there early and run from ride to ride before the lines got long.

3) Me too, but I gave in when my kids were little and they wanted to see one. Sure was nice to sit down for a while and the show was good. The rides are short, not restful, and the lines keep you standing.

If it gets too crowded there, just think of Tokyo Disneyland. My neighbor, (Disney employee, engineers rides) says that lines are up to 5 hours long and the average rides a person gets in one day are 3-4. (They are big on souvenirs, no wonder.)

If you have to buy something, there are a couple of stores that have storage for your purchases, you can pick up everything before you leave. There are lockers too, they are good for jackets, etc.

Food: research the web site, there are some restaurants that require reservations in advance. I heard that the Blue Bayou gets booked a year in advance, but I wouldn't let that stop me. It's always night there because it's inside Pirates of the Carabeen Ride. (entrance near the ride's exit) http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyla... - It is expensive, like dining on a patio in the evening (all day), with crickets chirping, and a river with small boats of people floating by (riders). If you can, do one great restaurant. Downtown Disney has some too. Then eat at cheap spots the rest of the time to make up for it. Expect to pay 7-10 dollars total for hamburger, fries and a drink. Disney parks don't rip you off like other parks do, but you won't find a 99 cent burger.

The best rides have signs that say the wait time and it's usually long. Most popular at Disneyland; Matterhorn, Space Mountain, Haunted House, Indiana Jones and also Splash Mountain are the ones with the longest waits.

Pay attention to the parade times. Lines get shorter, but you don't want to be on the wrong side of the park when they start, because you can't get across. Tip; the train can get you around the parade, but you have to wait for it. Some people get good spots for the parade early, so that eases up the ride lines for a while.

HAVE FUN!

Disney Land is aimed at more younger kids. Universal Studios is for all ages so I will choose Universal Studios and isn't the disney tickets like 50 dollars?
Ah, well, I guess it is worth it though.

I would pick Universal Studios, because the rides are more mature and fun than Disneyland.

Disneyland.. I find it more entertaining. Universal Studios has fewer rides and fewer attractions. The fireworks and the parades are awesome at Disney
