What do you mean "what will stay?"?!? Of all the OLD (current, temporarily) 7 World Wonders, only one still exists and has lived to tell the tale that we have yet to hear- the Pyramids of Giza. All the rest (Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Statue of Zeus at Olympia, Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus, Colossus of Rhodes, Lighthouse of Alexandria)– have sadly perished due to natural catastrophes – earthquakes&fire.

My choices are the following:

1. The Kremlin/St. Basil's
2. The Pyramids of Giza (for obvious reasons)
3. The Great Wall of China
4. Chichen Itza
5. The Taj Mahal
6. Hagia Sophia
7. The Colosseum

I choose these seven glorious and unique structures since I believe that they are a phenomenal representation of once grand and admirable civilizations, cultures and religions. They symbolize a unification of the diversity of mankind and I think they can endure throughout all the upcoming turbulence and carry on our heritage to the generations of the future – showing us in an awe-inspiring and majestic light.

(excuse me if I'm being pathetic, but this is just my honest opinion)

let me vote for the Panama Canal...like the Ancient Wonders, it is a great work of engineering; it is also a machine, probably the biggest ( at 60 something miles) that will ever be built, that raises up to 60,000 TONS of ships hundreds of times a year up to 300 feet and then lowers them down again, using nothing but the power of rainwater collected in Gatun Lake ( itself man made) and gravity, so it is close to perpetually powered using no oil, coal, gas or nuclear energy....just sunlight that heats clouds to make rain........

I'm sorry and surprised that they left Borobudur off the proposed new list.
