Singapore, Republic of, independent republic in Southeast Asia, comprising 1 main island and about 50 small adjacent islands off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. The main island, Singapore Island, is separated from Malaysia on the north by the narrow Johore Strait and is linked by road and rail to the Malaysian city of Johor Baharu. On the south, Singapore Island is separated from Indonesia’s Riau Archipelago by the Singapore Strait, an important shipping channel linking the Indian Ocean to the west with the South China Sea on the east

Singapore is an island republic. So since it's so small, it doesn't have a capital. It is itself the capital, though frequently, people associate the Colonial District, Central Business District and Orchard Road stretch as the heart of Singapore or "City" within the Singapore island. Singapore is located in South-East Asia, just south of the equator. It is located right at the Southern-tip of Peninsula Malaysia, near Indonesia.

Singapore is an itsy bitsy little county at the tip of malaysia you can just barely see it on the map. So I've been there a bunch of times its very multi cultural and a bunch of mixed folks ( just worth mentioning cause its more evident there than most countries I've visited). Its super duper if you're visitng its crazy clean and its dubbed the "Fine City" cause them singaporeans are crazy about fining folks for everything from spitting to chewing gum at least a $100 fine for chewing gum!!

Its insane. But the folks are great and its a great city. I've heard that its more of a hardcore city to live in just cause they're relatively uptight. Its a beautiful place pretty neat and a ton of great shopping. Its really a wonderful metropolitan place I'd love to live there were it not so strict.

Singaporeans keep the place in top shape. Besides the awesome shopping they have a bunch of tourist destinations like night zoos and the best underwater world in the world. At least when I last went.

Its a pretty awesome place.

Singapore is just below SingaRich
and they make all kinds of reproduction copies of everything we make in the USA but tons cheaper because they pay their people a few dollars a DAY not a few dollars and hour..that's why they can undercut the USA products...
nice place to visit, your USA dollar goes a long way there...but not nice to live there and work there...
it is in southeast Asia...
good luck

Located at the tip of the Malay Peninsula.
From Canada go west when we see Japan than you go southwest. you may find a small dot blow Malaysia.

(If there is one word that best captures Singapore, it is “unique”. A dynamic city rich in contrast and colour, you'll find a harmonious blend of culture, cuisine, arts and architecture here. Brimming with unbridled energy, this little dynamo in Southeast Asia embodies the finest of both East and West.)

See you in Singapore.
